Instructors: John Allen, Lida Hood, Nick Bocher, and Jim Richey When: June 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. You may bring a lunch or we will order out. Location: Jim Richey's back yard, 105 Helen Street (Southmont) Prerequisites: Participants are expected to have a working knowledge of their camera. Bring your camera manual, just in case. A tripod is essential. Also, bring a cable release if you have one. What to expect: We will have flowers and other great things to photograph. Questions and problems will be addressed in the field whenever possible. This is the most effective way to learn. We will emphasize compositional elements such as isolating a subject, importance of background and subject placement. We will cover macro techniques and methods for making special effects. We will finally cover the processing of digital images in Photoshop Elements. Nick will assist in processing your images to a make slide show, and we will critique images that are shot during the workshop. Cost: $50, fully refundable if you cancel. If it rains we go indoors and shoot flowers and props on the table top.
